About Torre Glòries

The Torre Glòries building was designed by architect Jean Nouvel. It was completed in 2005 and used as headquarters for Grupo Agbar, the company behind Barcelona's water services.

The building's unusual rounded shape is said to resemble a geyser of water rising into the sky. Its exterior is covered with coloured glass and aluminium panels, which change in appearance depending on the light and the angle from which the building is viewed. At night, Torre Glòries is illuminated, making it easy to recognise from across the city.
