The Museu Picasso Barcelona was opened in 1963 and is the reference centre for Pablo Picasso’s earlier years.

On the famous Montjuïc hill overlooking Barcelona, the Fundació Joan Miró is home to a collection of more than 14,000 pieces of work by the artist and includes paintings, sculptures, drawings and tapestry works.
The museum was designed by a close friend of Miró, the famous architect Josep Lluís Sert, and was opened in 1975.
