About the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya (MNAC)

The MNAC is at the foot of Barcelona's Montjuïc hill in the Neo-Baroque Palau Nacional. The palace was originally the main site of the Spanish exhibition at the 1929 International Exposition, the same exposition that Poble Espanyol was created for.

After the International Exposition, the Palau Nacional was transformed into the home of the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya. The museum takes visitors on a journey through more than 1,000 years of Catalan art, from medieval masterpieces to Modernisme and modern works.

One of the highlights of MNAC is the Rooftop Viewpoint. The two rooftop terraces provide panoramic views across Barcelona and allow you to see many of the city's most recognisable landmarks, including the Sagrada Família, Torre Glòries and the Olympic area.
